Kraft Cheesy Alfredo Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

Kraft Cheesy Alfredo Macaroni & Cheese

Looks: Pretty close, eh? The only takeaway I have is that either the spoon on their box is huge, or they’re understating the size of the noodles. There’s no way I could fit the same amount of macaroni on the tablespoon I used, although I don’t know why they’d understate the size of their food. 4.5 out of 5

Taste: The first few bites were the best boxed macaroni I’ve ever had, but as I continued to eat, something about the cheese sauce made me feel a little off, so I didn’t finish the entire bowl. Might have just been me; have any of you readers tried this and felt the same way? In any case, I’m judging it by the first bites: big chewy noodles and thick creamy sauce. 4 out of 5

That looks and sounds good. I’ve never been a fan of the “Blue Box” Mac & Cheese but I love me some Alfredo…I might actually have to try this.

Too bad your spooning skills aren’t on par with Kraft….see that Ninja scoop, they’re all aligned the same way…that’s a Samurai in action.

If you’re into boxed pasta, try Annie’s Homegrown pasta products. They’re the ones with the bunny on the box. Their shells and white cheddar… yum.

The spoon on the box is probably a serving spoon, not a tablespoon; hence, your difficulties.

Yeah, something like that happened to me once. I went to 7-11 one time and saw that they had Twizzler-flavored Slurpees on sale as some kind of promotion. I took a tiny bit into my cup to see if it tasted any good, and to my surprise, it was absolutely delicious. I get this huge Slurpee cup, fill it up with the Twizzler flavored ice, and leave.

However, on my walk back home, the taste started to degrade over time. At first, I was happy, and thinking to myself, “7-11 should start making this a regular flavor rather than having it as just a promotion”, but by the time I reached my house a mile away, I was only halfway through and saying, “That was the worst Slurpee I’ve ever tasted.”

I guess it has something to do with your first taste of it interacting with your aftertaste. Maybe it’s food items like these that you really need to eat in moderation, or served with something else, to ensure that it doesn’t begin tasting terrible.

    Mah spoon is too big.

I think the Alfredo style is best with creamed spinach and some chopped tomatoes added.

The amount of noodles shown on the box is well-portioned. When I look at your picture I wonder if I can put the portion into my mouth without any problems. So I think that the advertisement is somewhat of fake to avoid any thoughts of how complicated it might be to eat one spoon of noodles.
