And just for fun, here’s an authentic Neapolitan pizza I had a few years ago in Sorrento, Italy:

My mouth is watering just looking at that picture.

    Wow! Someones been busy πŸ™‚

I’d say the Bacon tag (Looks: 1.75; Taste: 2) is surprising until you look at what it contains:

So how’d that pizza compare to the box? πŸ˜› You’ve got me hungry for a pie and it’s 7:30AM!

Read you every day, but I worry about your health. Nothing but highly processed foods in your diet? Look and taste is a good start, but I’d also like to see more analysis of the nutrition of these ‘foods’. If it looks good because of colored dyes, or if it tastes good because of lab flavors, then I think you have become an unpaid volunteer for the future of ‘soylent’ products. You should at least make some money from your experiment because you’ll probably need it for medical expenses in the near future. I’ve been tempted by the pictures on the box and the amazingly low prices, but not very often have I been able to eat more than a mouthful before spitting it out and dumping the rest.
I know this has been posted anonymously and I hope you don’t send it into a black hole, but I get tired of signing up for every site that I want to comment about.

The shrimp one surprises me, I usually find frozen shrimp items absolutely disgusting.

  5. David says:

That pizza looks horrible! Was it good?

  6. FoodIRL says:

It was amazing. How can you say it looks horrible?

  7. Shoshizzle says:

I’d have to agree… The pizza looks horrible.

The sauce looks like it’s oozing through thin parts in the cheese, the crust has burnt spots, and the toppings are sparse and unevenly distributed. I personally think it looks pretty tasty (if nothing else because large chunks of meat are awesome), but that’s probably why others think it looks awful.

  9. John says:

That pizza looks absolutely amazing! WOW! That is exactly how a pizza ought to look. Pizzas like that don’t even compare to mass-made-brand-name pies like Little Caesar’s or Papa John’s. Some love sure went into this pie.
