Red Baron By The Slice

Are you tired of making a pizza but having to throw most of it away since you can only eat one piece at a time? If so, you’ll want to check out Red Baron Pizza by the Slice. It’s like a whole pizza, but not!

It cooks in its own little cardboard and silvery-colored container that you stick in your microwave; this cooking method has the benefit of leaving the cheese in the middle of the slice cold but sill overcooking the bottom of the crust so that’s it’s strangely crispy.

If you buy enough of these that you can learn how to properly get it to heat up in your microwave, you’ll find that it’s a good-enough approximation of a normal Red Baron pizza – if you left it in your fridge overnight and then reheated it in your microwave in a little paper tray.

last night I ordered a pizza but I didn’t know what to do with all the leftover slices and I didn’t have any foil to wrap them up or anything so I just ate the whole pizza. how dare red baron doubt me?!

I think 2 for looks is being generous — but all microwave pizza pretty much looks awful. I think these would be fine in a toaster over, though.

Really? I think they’re quite good.

The box offers two ways to cook it– the quick way and the good way (the difference is only like 2 minutes). I would like to know the way he cooked it.

I added some cheese to it, since I loves me some cheese. The crust was a bit soggy, but it was still pretty good. Maybe a tad on the expensive side, but great when you’re not too hungry for a full meal.

I tried both the quick way and the good way, and didn’t see much difference. I’m going to try cooking it my own way in the toaster oven today and will see if I can get better results out of that.

There could be a big difference in the quality of microwaves, too. We have a pretty new one, and it’s pretty nice. Also outrageously expensive, but my parents are just like that.

    Wow, that looks really unappetizing.

i’m a little surprised. their french bread pizza is halfway decent, even in the microwave.

I totally disagree on the rating for this. I like this pizza way better than the original red baron pizzas. The crust gets surprisingly crispy for being made in the microwave. And I don’t think you cooked it long enough because you can still see that some of the cheese is in cube form.

The only reason that I bought this was because I had a coupon for $1.00 off and a rebate form for a full refund to try it. It was ok tasting, but for the price that these are normally, around $3.30 and only a little over 10oz, I can get three Yummy 10oz Totino’s pizzas for about the same cost and have a lot more pizza. If I could only eat one slice of pizza at a time the rest would go into the fridge or freezer to be eaten later.

Who the eff THROWS PIZZA AWAY? Have you never heard of left over pizza the next day? This is a cock tease. And looks repulsive.

I just through it in the oven…actually looks like I cooked it then when its done through the microwave.

  11. Africa says:

    Blah *throw, sorry bout that.

Does the box say to heat it for xx:xx time or until cheese is melted? Does the box say cooking time may vary? Frozen food heating directions are usually pretty good at covering microwave diversity in their directions like coffee providers are good at telling you their coffee is hot.

There is some responsibility not to spill it all over oneself and marvel at the burns. But, hey maybe the directions are that silly.
