Announcement: Updated Website

Over the past few days, I’ve finished moving Food In Real Life off of Tumblr and onto a new Web host running the Crowd Fusion software. This change paves the way for some fun new features I have planned for the upcoming weeks, but it’s possible that you’ll encounter some bugginess.

If you notice any weirdness on the website, would you be so kind as to email me at so that I can fix it? I would be ever so grateful. Even if you don’t have any problems, I’d love it if you could just comment on this post so that I know you’re seeing these new postings.

And to keep this post on topic and not completely boring, here is a picture of what a microwave meatloaf looks like after cooking. (The full post with ratings and a review will be appearing sometime next week.)

    that looks really yummy!

  2. Kay says:

Since this is a site about food, would you consider adding a link to somewhere? Feed the hungry!

  3. Anonymous says:

Link from twitter (specifically, TweetDeck short URL -> full URL translated) works just fine. I can see your comments just fine.

As a side note, the page opened without a hint of hesitation; probably the quickest I’ve seen in a long time. Seriously, most sites would still doing DNS lookups in the same amount of time that this entire page was loaded and rendered. Well done!

  4. Belter says:

    Working fine for me …

Can’t wait until the shock to your system when you eat a salad!! 😉 (love the site!)

Another rss subscriber here- the site looks great, though, and works fine for me.

  9. Brian Alvey says:

I will definitely have to retweet your announcement. I’m so psyched to see our Crowd Fusion platform in action like this.

This site isn’t my baby, so maybe these emotions I’m feeling are like those of a proud uncle?

  10. FoodIRL says:

Never mind, I see the problem now with the Facebook link too.

  11. FoodIRL says:

Thanks; I fixed the bug that was breaking the link for Twitter. Is there some other problem you’re noticing?

  12. Tom Drapeau says:

The Twitter and Facebook share buttons below the article are acting funny.

  14. GB says:

I subscribe to your RSS feed but i came to check the changes, works fine!

By the way that meatloaf looks like a turd with ketchup on it SICK

  15. Eating The Road says:

Cool. It’s actually fine once you get through the initial sign-up stuff.

  16. FoodIRL says:

No, I’ll be sticking with Crowd Fusion’s comment system. It’s so much easier to customize than Disqus.

  17. Eating The Road says:

Yep, it’s all coming through. Are you going to go back to Disqus for comments?
