Looks: If I had plated it like it is plated on the box, it would have matched up nicely, except for the dessert. The colors are all very similar, and the portion sizes are the same. The apple cranberry crisp, however, doesn’t look like what they show on the box at all. It doesn’t contain any cranberries (that I could find), and the apple pieces are way too small. 4 out of 5
Taste: Let me paint you a picture: You like meatloaf. You buy some meatloaf. You cook the meatloaf. You sit down to eat the meatloaf. You take a bite of the meatloaf. You chew the meatloaf. You spit out the meatloaf. Why did you spit out the meatloaf? Probably because there was a piece of what you can only hope was gristle the size of a baby’s tooth in your first bite. (The rest of the meal was ok, but this first impression made it impossible to enjoy the other food quadrants.) 1.5 out of 5
This is the message I am getting when I attempt to “Rate This Food’s Looks”:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getOutTag() on a non-object in /home/cfinke/webapps/crowdfusion_stable/app/plugins/looksratings/classes/eventhandlers/LooksratingsPermissionsHandler.php on line 18
However, I noticed that I can now rate on a half-point scale as well as a whole-point scale.
P.S. Well, I noticed that I can rate on a half-point scale as well as a whole-point scale, but my vote is not being counted.
Wow…that’s not a pretty picture you painted 😛 At least the remainder of the meal was okay.
I’m also getting the same error…but I’m sure you’re working on it.
Sorry about that, it’s working now.
Indeed I am working on it; give it a try now, it should be all better.
I realize this is an older post, but feel this still ought to be mentioned. Maybe the rating of the “looks” ought to not only be based on how close it resembles the package, but also how appetizing it appears in general. For example, I would agree your picture does indeed closely resemble the box, however, it does so in such a way that it doesn’t look appetizing anymore.
Why does it appear that there are teeth marks in the mashed potatoes?
There seems to be an imprint of tiny teeth…
I wouldn’t eat that. It looks like someone dropped their dentures in the mashed potatoes and forgot to get rid of the evidence before sending it off for packaging.
