Looks: It has about 50% of the meat it should, and the same goes for the sauce. (Sorry that the picture doesn’t show this, but it was Halloween night and there were trick-or-treaters at the door. And yes, I did get this taco for free.) The lettuce and cheese are true to form. The shell is indeed black. AMAZING! 4 out of 5
Taste: It tastes really black. Wait, no it doesn’t, because black isn’t a flavor – it tastes like the regular Taco Bell taco, with a tiny bit more spice from the sauce. (I don’t know how they get the shell black, but it’s not by use of any spices or flavorings.) It was kind of cool to eat though, because besides olives, how many black foods are there? 4 out of 5
Other black foods? I guess squid ink pasta or sauces (yuck), really dark chocolate, and black corn. Maybe this is just a black corn tortilla? I’m not sure if you can make tortillas from black corn. I’ve only ever seen it used for popcorn and for decoration.
Oreos are black… Even better, so are Hydrox.
Where’s the beef?

Speaking of tasting like a color….sis you know that Red Vines used to be called Raspberry Vines but they changed the name to more accurately reflect the flavor…wtf?!? They taste more like “red” (whatever that is) than raspberries!

I am going to call that they are using either squid ink, or just dyes.
I was wondering if this taco was good.
But the real question is whether your poop will be black. Report back, would you?
i gret the volcano taco with no lettuce but because lettue takes up 80% of the taco i have to order xtra meat ach chez
Happy to report that this had no more effect on my bowels than a normal-colored Taco Bell taco.
It also makes your poop dark green!
It’s just a taco in a black shell (probably colored with squid ink), with (pre-existing to the Bell) baja sauce on it. Lol
