Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice (Original)

Uncle Ben's Ready Rice (Original)

Looks: The color is slightly yellower than expected, and the volume of rice is lower than advertised. (That, or the bowl on the pouch is really a shot glass.) 4 out of 5

Taste: Tastes like rice, and the microwave cooking method doesn’t affect the texture at all. 5 out of 5

No, I’m not paid for any of this.

Your comments seem a little too overly positive. Do you get paid to post any of these?

Whatever you do, if you value your taste buds, do not (DO NOT) get the 4-cheese (or some cheese title) version of this. I made that mistake and bought two and ate them only because I don’t want to waste money. The cheese version just tastes…off. I don’t know how else to explain it and you can tell just from the smell.

    Blech

This one looks pretty realistic. I would think not having top notch studio lighting and a professional camera would account for the difference here.

I saw this at the store, and it looked like a great idea, but I got the brown rice medley, and it stunk, and tasted just as bad as the smell. I hope it was not rotten. I only ate a small fork full, but it was insanely disgusting.

I just tried this, The smell was sickly disgusting. I can’t get it out of my head. I was pretty hungry and had already ate well over half of it before getting a good smell of it. It smelled nauseatingly sour. It’s been 10 minutes since then and I can still smell it. I’ve never been so disgusted.

Maybe mine was bad though. I only found this page due to trying to see if this was common.
