Bake at 400" for about 30 min over a pan of boiling water in a double-u french
bread pan. Spray loaf with cooking spray before putting in oven. You'll get a crisp
crust. The "off" taste is sugar, common to ALL Pilsbury products.

Interesting...I've never seen this, didn't know they had it. Kind of a cool time. How long does it take to bake?

If you took it out of a can, you might have had something to do with the lopsidedness.

Agreed about the aftertaste on Pilsbury products. It doesn't matter if it's the cinnamon rolls or this they have somewhat of an off taste and smell to them.

There is actually a reason for why the bread looks to be a different brown on the package. I used to work in a bakery, and when they bake bread in a professional setting they use huge ovens that are usually equipped with a steam setting to be done before it bakes. It blasts the bread with steam and makes it like a super sauna in there, and the bread absorbs the water just before it starts to cook. This allows the bread to be more of a golden brown then the slightly stodgy brown that most things look like when done at home. I know this from personal experience lol.
