ugh, so disappointing. they try to pass them off as fig newtons with a crispy shell, which I was immediately attracted to, but they’re one of the driest, chewiest things I’ve ever eaten. and i like rice cakes, so that’s really saying something. think “fruit leather” wrapped in a stale Wheat Thin. good flavor, but dry as heck

I like them too, but I admit I was disappointed at first when it didn’t have the kind of filling depicted on the box.

Its applesauce wrapped in a Hot Pocket crisping sleeve – ew

Pffft. I *love* those things. Sure the filling doesn’t look like the box, but I find ’em tasty and like the crunch to goo ratio.

Ickkk. It l00ks absolutely unappetizing. I usually don’t eat Newtons, but if this were the picture to make or break my disdain for them…I wouldn’t even l00k at another box.

If they are made in Mexico, as are the regular Fig Newtons, I won’t be trying or buying them. There are small chunks of fig (I hope) ends or stems or something in just about every Fig Newton I’ve eaten. I used to buy them for my kids for years and thought I’d try them again for myself. No way, no more. They are not made with the same quality as they were years ago. Sorry, but I’ll check every box of cookies I buy from here on in. If not made in the good old USA, I will NOT buy them.
