Pitiful. I did try it when it first came out. I had a slightly better experience than you but mine was overly salty...so much so that I couldn't even finish it. The Big Mac is the Big Mac for a reason and aside from French fries and breakfast sandwiches (Egg McMuffin & McGriddles) and the only things that should ever be purchased at McDs...okay maybe a Shamrock Shake or McFlurry :)

I tried the same one you did and they left off the cheese. And I was going through the drive-thru so I didn't notice until I got home. Ugh.

Not a great dining experience. Salty.

The Mushroom Swiss Angus third pounder was marginally better, but still only a 2 or 2.5. Don't waste your money!

P.S. Cute baby in a pumpkin photo!

Every time I eat even a cheese burger from McDonalds, it kicks my heart into overdrive and I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack. I hardly ever eat meat or that much salt...

I love your site btw!

Jes
kohlercreated.com/blog

I have a problem with the entire premium burger offerings from fast food restaurants.

You can get away with cooking a think patty well done, but you can't make a juicy delicious hamburger out of well done thick patty.

I tried the Angus Burgers when they first came out - tried all 3 - and they were all OK (at best).

Until McDonald's (or their competition) start using fresh beef cooked to order and cooked to temperature they will never make a great hamburger.

Just had In-N-Out for lunch yesterday - so good!

My husband has ordered this several times, at a couple of different McD's, and fortunately he has had a better experience. He tolerates McD's, but doesn't love it, and he really likes this burger a lot.

i tried the same burger about a month after they came out. i really enjoyed it and i am sad that you didn't have the same experience as i did. maybe try another mc donalds at a different time, the people working could of not really cared so they gave you a terrible burger.

But was this crappy burger worth the 2 animals that died to make it (1 cow and 1 pig)? Or considering how bad it was, would it be better that they had lived to see another day? :-)

I tried the angus burger a while back and found that it was indeed one of the most bland items on the McDonald's menu. For the price you would be better off getting a couple regular cheeseburgers. At least then you don't have to gnaw through a quarter-inch of pre-frozen/two hour in a steam pan old beef patty.
