DiGiorno Stuffed Crust Five Cheese Pizza

Looks: The cheese didn’t melt as evenly as depicted, probably because there was far more cheddar in the mix than depicted on the box. Additionally, the outer rim of half the pizza swelled way up, making the crust appear to be 4 inches wide in spots. The cheese inside the crust was not as obvious as on the package, and there were a lot of stray sauce spots peeking through where cheese was missing. 3 out of 5

Taste: Meh. It tastes like any any frozen pizza, until you get to the crust, where you’re suddenly put off by the overpowering greasiness and bitterness of the cheddar cheese mixture (think Cheez Whiz) they inexplicably used to stuff the crust instead of mozzerella. I wouldn’t buy it again. 2 out of 5

You’re right about that; I meant to imply that it’s nowhere near the “delivery” style pizza that Digiorno advertises. It very much tastes like it was made from frozen, even if it is in a different league than Tony’s or Totino’s.

I’m surprised you would say this is like any other frozen pizza. Have you ever had Totino’s, Tony’s, or Red Baron (the regular kind)? Digiorno is definitely on the higher end of frozen pizzas, even if it is still not comparable to the non-frozen variety.

It’s Mozz-A-rella…with an ‘a’…I love pizza with lots of cheese on it…usually my choice is “4-cheeses red” (mozzarella, fontina, gorgonzola, edamer/emmentaler plus tomato sauce)…but I would not be eager to eat this kind of frozen pizza…btw what’s this thing in the u.s. about ‘stuffed crusts’? It’s a fad I really can’t get into…

great idea to do this, but i’m kind of concerned for your health. are you really eating all this junk?

Who the hell puts cheddar cheese on a pizza? That’s downright criminal

I just had one of these pizzas last night, and it was awful. Whoever came up with the crust filling should be flogged, I’m pretty sure it would qualify as a human rights violation in most countries. It’s more of a paste than anything. They use the same garbage in the “Bacon Cheeseburger” pizzas, so beware that one also!

we bought and ate this last night….it tasted horrible. it cooked poorly, rose to the high heavens on part of it, and the cheddar taste was bad, and overwhelming. i concur with the “who the hell puts cheddar cheese on a pizza?” comment listed priviously. im a fan of digiorno…esp the pepperoni w garlic crust, but this version of their pizza was disgusting, and i will never purchase it again…i would have rather eaten elio’s as opposed to this mess.

We had this tonight for dinner and it was horrible! When I saw it at the store I was really excited because it was stuffed crust.. but that was the worst part! It DID taste like cheese wiz!! YUCK! I don’t even know why they still sell this!

I was totally disappointed that DiGiorno changed the cheddar cheese crust to mozzarella. I enjoyed the cheddar cheese flavor and I will not buy the mozzarella crust again. Quite a disappointment. Also the Pizza was much smaller yet the price increased.
